Ace of Spades provides more evidence that the Left will do everything it can to steal the election. He implores you, as do all right thinkers, to vote. As Hugh Hewitt famously said, if it's not close, they can't cheat.
Ace also has ten announcements less shocking than Andrew Sullivan's endorsement of John Kerry. My favorite: "2. Bill Clinton rises from his sickbed to campaign for John Kerry; whenever he feels he's losing the crowd, he starts doing that "I'm coming for you!" heart-attack schtick from Sanford & Son." Not quite as funny as comparing John Kerry to Bigfoot, but still worth the time.
In keeping with the theme, Jim Treacher has ten reasons he's not voting for President Bush. Even funnier than the list are the comments by the people who don't realize it's a joke.
The line is "Jerk Store!" Jeff Jarvis lets Power Line's John Hinderaker have it for certain comments made during an interview with Andrea Borger on CNBC. You can see the partial transcript here. I think Mr. Jarvis misinterpreted Hindrocket's statements; to my mind, what Hinderaker said is that he, unlike the NYT, makes every effort to get his facts straight before trumpeting a story, not that he's always right. I also agree with my friend Don, who pointed out in an e-mail this morning that "[t]he point should be that he won't fail to admit when he's wrong, unlike the big media. He is concerned about the loss of credibilty from inaccuracy, while the NYT apparently doesn't give a damn about its credibility. And empirically he's right that he's more accurate than the NY Times."
John Kerry is reckless. Reckless, I say. And, coincidentally, pure evil. [The latter link via A Small Victory.]
Scientists have uncovered Hobbit skeletons on an Indonesian island (also inhabited by miniature Olly Faunts, incidentally). Much to Treebeard's chagrin, however, there is still no sign of the Entwives.
Again in keeping with the theme, check out this unbelievable Gimli costume. Holy shit.
The TdF organizers will try again next year to arrange the course to minimize Lance's dominance. Whatever; they've been trying crap like this since 2000, and we've seen how well that's turned out for them.
