Thursday Roundup

I'll be adding to this post throughout the day, so just keep scrolling.

  • I'm not sure if this is evidence of John Kerry's fiscal responsibility (i.e., he was serious about running a surplus) or irresponsibility:  Kerry leaves $15 million in campaign coffers.  Regardless, anyone who leaves that much money on the table in a losing bid is definitely someone you want in your rotisserie baseball league.

  • As a follow-up to this post concerning Kevin Sites' footage of a Marine shooting a wounded Iraqi terrorist, Power Line posts a powerful, moving letter from a Marine who's in the shit over there.  Gave me chills.  Words fail in expressing my gratitude and admiration for such brave men and women.  May God bless and keep all of our soldiers.

  • On a related note, Professor Volokh analyzes whether the wounded Iraqi terrorist was covered under the Geneva Conventions.  He was not.

  • On a happier note, I love any joke that comes at the expense of the French.  And this one is better than most.
