I was just watching the SportsCenter highlights of the Match Play Championship final round, in which Tiger Woods defeated Davis Love III 3 and 2. They showed a highlight in which Love had a fan tossed from the course because the fan was heckling him by saying "No Love" as Love stepped up to the tee on the 5th hole. This is yet another reason why, as I've said before, golf is not a sport: guys who play sports don't have the luxury of complete silence when they do their thing. Heckling is part of being an athlete; it is not, nor should it be, a bootable offense (unlike disparaging the boot). No doubt Love went back to his hotel after losing the match and iced down his vagina for at least a half an hour.
What really gets me is that the heckler wasn't even heckling that creatively. Any baseball or football player who's ever been arrested or in rehab gets heckled a hundred times worse. Hell, every Red Sox player in every at-bat at Yankee Stadium gets heckled a hundred times worse. Yet they still manage to do their jobs without throwing a hissy fit and getting a fan ejected.
